Lady Mary-Sue had been spending a lot of time with Princess Cassandra. Given the failed wedding, and that the princess is his wife's closest friend, Lord Daniel Pleasant expected nothing less. He was greatly pleased. One might think this is because his wife is so kind hearted, or that through her he has connections with the royal family. Lord Daniel has a better reason, and here she comes now.
"Kaylynn, I do not wish you to be a daily maid of this family any longer."
"M'Lord?"
"You shall become our live in maid."
"M'Lord!"
"This way we can be closer," he whispered in her ear.
He let the words linger with her a moment before spinning her about until she laughed.
"Now Kaylynn, you must be discreet. I won't have you breaking my wife's heart." Daniel looked in her eyes. "Is that understood?"
"Yes m'Lord."
"Good."
Kaylynn leaned away from him. This would not do. He leaned her back further, pinning her arms behind her.
Once his lips were on hers she stopped resisting. She always did. He kissed her until she moaned softly. He liked to leave her wanting more. He loved the wanton look in her eyes.
"I do believe you have work to do."
"Yes m'Lord," she breathed.
He put her back upon her feet, then disappointed her thoroughly.
"In addition to your regular duties you will begin a garden on the side of the house."
Daniel gestured with his hand and Kaylynn began to hurry away, but not before Daniel planted a firm smack upon her bottom.
"Oh!" she looked behind her with flirting eyes, then walked toward the house.
Daniel stayed where he was, watching every sway of her hips. It was only a matter of time before he brought her to his bed.
And so it was proven that Daniel Pleasant is a jerk in any century.
